All papers presented at the Annual Meeting are eligible for publication consideration in the MVEA’s refereed journal: Journal of Economic Insight. NOTE: The JEI is ranked by the Australian Business Dean's Council.
 
Graduate and Undergraduate Student Papers
We will also include sessions for undergraduate and graduate student papers.  There is a cash award for the Best Graduate Student Paper.  Student papers should identify the educational level of the author.
Note: All undergraduate sessions will be scheduled for Friday, October 24, 2025.

 
Virtual Presentation Options
We are piloting an alternate virtual presentation option for the 2025 conference. Virtual presentations will all be held via Zoom on Thursday, October 30th between noon and 5pm CST. The in-person elements of the conference will not be streamed. NOTE: Registration rates for virtual presentations are higher than in-person rates; please see below.

Thursday Keynote

Thursday evening's keynote address will be delivered by Dr. David Drukker, Associate Professor in the John E. Walker Department of Economics at Clemson University. Previously, Dr. Drukker was an Executive Director of Econometrics at Stata.

Friday Luncheon

We will host a luncheon on Friday, October 24, 2025 with speaker.  Cost for the luncheon is $30 for members and $50 for non members. This year's keynote speaker will be Dr. Edward Blackburne, Data and Analytics Executive at USAA (financial services firm).

Chairs & Discussants

Individuals presenting in a session will be asked to serve as session chair.

If you would like to have a discussant for your paper, please indicate this on your submission.  You will need to send your completed paper to your discussant by Friday, October 10, 2025.

If you are not presenting but plan to attend and would like to serve as a chair or discussant for an undergraduate session, please click here to volunteer.
