Paper Proposals and Arranged Session Proposals
Abstracts for papers may be submitted online here.
Arranged Session Proposals may be submitted online here.

Sessions will begin around 1pm on Thursday and conclude at noon on Saturday.

All papers presented at the Annual Meeting are eligible for publication consideration in the MVEA’s refereed journal: Journal of Economic Insight. NOTE: The JEI is ranked by the Australian Business Dean's Council.

Graduate and Undergraduate Student Papers
We will also include sessions for undergraduate and graduate student papers.  There is a cash award for the Best Graduate Student Paper.  Student papers should identify the educational level of the author.

Virtual Presentation Options
We offer limited options for papers to be presented virtually. Virtual presentations will be streamed into a room during the conference ​so in-person attendees may listen. Other parts of the conference will not be streamed for virtual attendees; virtual attendees will only have access to virtual sessions. Registration rates for virtual attendees are higher than in-person attendees (see rates below).

Thursday Keynote

Thursday evening's keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Edward Balisteri, Duane Acklie College of Business Yeutter Institute Chair at the University of Nebraska-Linkcoln,

Friday Luncheon

We will host a luncheon on Friday, November 6, 2026 with speaker.  Cost for the luncheon is $30 for members and $50 for non members. This year's keynote speaker will be Dr. Cory Koedel, Middlebush Chair of Economics at the University of Missouri.

Chairs & Discussants

Individuals presenting in a session will be asked to serve as session chair.

If you would like to have a discussant for your paper, please indicate this on your submission.  You will need to send your completed paper to your discussant by Friday, October 23, 2026.

If you are not presenting but plan to attend and would like to serve as a chair or discussant for an undergraduate session, please click here to volunteer.
